Place on Hold

Synopsis: When Mara Dyer wakes up in a hospital bed after an accident that killed her friends, her world is turned upside down . As she struggles to come to terms with her new reality, Mara starts seeing things. Frustrated with her lack of memory, Mara is desperate for answers as to what happened that night. Answers that a mysterious boy at her new school may be able to provide.

Characters: The author dose an excellent job of portraying Mara and what she is going through. All Mara’s reactions feel real and believable. The author also did a great job of getting inside Mara’s head which really helped the story as a whole.

Action: While this book didn’t have any real fighting scenes it had its own form of action. Mara’s hallucinations and the overall mystery of the book had its own type of action which kept things interesting.

Romance: While it does not start right away I give this book a ten in the romance department  It was just so perfect. It flowed with the story and improved it significantly.

Overall: Overall, I thought that this was an amazing book. Mara was a very interesting character and the whole story had its own unique feel. The romance was great, too. I loved this book and I would recommend it again and again.
