Synopsis: Quinn is hated by everyone; her friends, her teachers and even her own father. The whole town turned on her when she ” cheated ” on her marine boyfriend Carey, but only she knows the truth. As she struggles with everyday life as the most hated girl in town she tries to hide her pain and keep Carey’s secret. But when Carey goes missing and the towns attention is focused on her more than ever how far will she go to keep Carey’s secret ?

Characters: The characters in this book were strong and amazing. My heart broke over and over for Quinn because she felt so real. The author also did a great job of capturing the military families and there loyalties and struggles. There is no way these characters could have been any better.

Action: While this book didn’t have action it had plenty of heartbreaking events the consistently drew you in. Between the horrible things Quinn goes thought and the magnitude of Carey’s secret and what it means for him this book was not in any way boring. It was so well written that at times I actually cried out of heart break for the characters and the impossibilities of their situation.

Romance: While the whole story would not have happened if it hadn’t been for Quinn and Carey’s romance there wasn’t much romantic action in the book. But considering all the other dynamics of the plot it didn’t really matter.

Overall: Overall this was a great and heartbreaking book. The characters were amazing. Quinn was brave and real and she made the book perfect. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
