Synopsis: Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won Prince Maxon’s heart. Maxon and America’s daughter, princess Eadlyn, has a selection of her own. Eadlyn thinks the selection is joke, despite her parents efforts to show her it can be great, only if she tries and lets her guard down. The last thing Eadlyn expects is to find love like her parents did. As she gets closer to the competitors, she realizes holding back like she wanted is harder than she thought. Eadlyn’s selection is very different from her father’s and it leads her to feelings she does not understand.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to anyone who has read the other books in the selection series. I don’t recommend this book to people who haven’t read the other books in the series. You could read this one without reading the other books, but then it would ruin the pervious books in the series.
My Opinion: I liked this book. I liked the other books in the selection series more than this one, but this one was still good. I liked the different perspective in this book. Instead of seeing what it is like to compete in the selection like the other books, this one shows what it’s like to be the one everyone is competing for. It is also interesting to see what Maxon and America have done in the future.
Overall: I liked this book and it just keeps adding on to the selection story.
